What we collect

Yardlie is a static website with no account system, no comments and no backend database. We do not ask you to create an account. If you contact us by email, we receive only what you choose to send (your name, email address and message) and we use it only to reply. Our yard tools run entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar local storage: (1) a cookie-consent choice stored in your browser's local storage, so the banner does not keep reappearing; (2) a theme preference, if you switch dark/light mode. These are set by the site itself and do not identify you personally. Your browser may also store cookies from third-party advertising, described below.

Google AdSense and the DoubleClick cookie

After approval, Yardlie may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to this site and other sites on the internet. In particular, Google uses the DoubleClick cookie (also called the DoubleClick DART cookie in older documentation) to serve personalised advertising. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at aboutads.info. Google AdSense code is placed on this site so that Google can verify the site and serve advertising; advertising cookies are set by Google only as described above.

Analytics and hosting

We do not currently run third-party analytics. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and reliability. We do not combine those logs with personal data, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Children under 13

Yardlie is a general-audience gardening site, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete any personal information you have sent us by email, and you may withdraw consent for future contact at any time by emailing us. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline the cookie banner — the site will still work, though your choice will not be remembered without local storage.
